  1. My consultant recommended Dr Kim Woo Jung. She said he is the eye specialist. He's also a Seoul Uni graduate. If you want you can most definitely choose your doctor.

  2. Yes a pill before the Surgery as well as post surgeries. There'll be instructions on the pack. So far, no problems with my previous 2 surgeries.

  3. @ppsusan just to let you know that my lips are perfectly normal at about 8-10 weeks post op. I can make the "O" and the "P" perfectly now. How are you recovering? I think the mouth exercises really helped me a lot. You can go over the Internet and they'll show you how to do those exercises. Cheers.

  4. Hi @youngjeesu , I'm going Korea coming March. It's more to do a check-up for my facial contouring surgeries, re-touch on fats graft if necessary and eye bag removal and fats repositioning to get rid of my tear troughs at Regen.

I am still very undecided and conflicted on what lifting or facial liposuction I should get. I've made appointments with a few clinics to consult and hear what they have to say. I'm also looking at Singapore's plastic surgeons but none seemed very experienced?

I'm still having this inner debate about the efficacy of threadlift, endotine face lift, endoscopic facelift VS short scar MACS/SMAS facelift.

Threadlift - A lot of BS i feel.

Endotine facelift - It's like thread but they use endotine ribbon. May be palpable for thin skin, risk of device breaking and need for revision. Claimed to be stronger than threadlift but way more expensive. Also BS?

Endoscopic facelift - Based on real self, seems it's more for checks rather than lower third of the face, which is my primary concern.

Short Scar facelift - probably the most effective of all but there'll be visible scars, behind and even in front of ears.

Anyways here're the clinics I'm consulting for lifting this March:

Regen - Did my fc surgeries there in Sept. Dr Lee and Dr Oh are both Seoul Uni graduates and I trust that they are good and skillful.

April 31 - Dr Lee Joo Heon sounds like a facelift expert and he had more techniques compared to other clinics.

Banobagi - Did my rhino previously. Dr Barn is also a Seoul Uni graduate.

View - Can possibly get discounts! Dr Chang from Soonchunhyang Uni, which is the same as Dr Lee Joo Heon from April 31.

Yess... not only did I research the clinic but specific doctors doing the surgeries, where they graduate form, accolades and reviews.

From Singapore, I'm sill considering getting a consult from Dr Ng Siew Weng, Dr Colin Tham and maybe Dr Martin Huang.

    How, how tell me how?!

  5. Had two surgeries in the last 2 years and I took Sineecch everytime! I don't know if it's the meds or what, but i don't have too much bleeding and swelling. Once was for rhinoplasty and the other was zygoma, vline, and fats grafts surgeries. I'm going again this March for eyebag removal and already prepared a pack of Sineecch. There are two types though, choose the strength for surgery if you're doing ops.

  6. Yeah ... I'm also a little skeptical about threadlift but dunno why all the clinics are recommending me that.

Before the surgeries I already had these little strange fats pockets beside my mouth. I'm hoping to just get rid of that but I don't really have a lot of fats in my jaw area. It's so enervating..

  7. What so funny about that line? I know this because it's my face and the jowls are present even before the facial contouring. Doc said I'll need it after the facial contouring. Not doing now but planning in advance for another 3 months down the road. You've already said must wait after the swelling goes down so why are you suggesting lifting should be done together, and in the same surgery as facial contouring? And, no it shouldn't be done together. Most people do it 6 months after, which I'm planning. This thread is for recommendations for lifting.

  8. Did zygoma reduction, vline and fats grafting 3 months ago. I already had a wee bit of jowls before my facial contouring, and the doc had told me that I could do with some lifting to maximise the results. I don't believe in thread lifting, been there done that, lots of bruises with no result. I also don't think that acculifting is the right solution for jowls. I would rather spend more to reposition the muscles and fats through facelift.

Do you have any clinic or doctor to recommend? No promoters, please. You know you'll look suspicious with very few postings, no profile pic, and bad English. And thanks in advance to those genuine forumers. Would truly appreciate the recommendations.

  9. Do facial contouring first, then rhinoplasty about a week later. That was what I did and I actually went to two different clinics for the procedures. But the rhinoplasty was a simple revision for me.

  10. I'm about 5 weeks post zygoma and vline surgery and I'm still recovering from a wonky right lip. It's the mandibular nerves that got injured. This nerve control the depressor anguli oris which is resposible for depressing your lip. Most likely it's not permanent unless it's severed. I've been doing mouth exercises like saying "a, e, i, o, u" and making grimaces. I can smile normally now but it's still a little indented (but less obvious now) when I say "O" and "P". But the fact that I can see improvement means it's recovering. Give it about 6 months before freaking out - that's what I told myself. Good luck!

  11. Hey how was your surgery? I just shared my 1-month post up update in this thread. The recovery can be nasty but manageable but you'll need time for the nerves to heal, bones to set and swelling to go down most definitely.

@Summerflower0, @Kebro, @JessicaCorbyn, @cathylee2, @epicmanbun, @jaspev, @missj93, @Summerof89: thanks for all your well wishes previously. I've just updated the blog with my progress and a lot of pictures lol. Hope that can help you decide to go ahead or not if you haven't already.

  12. Hey @kittymon, sorry for the super late reply. I've just posted my 1-month update on my Zygoma reduction, Vline surgery, and full face fats transfer surgeries with Regen in this thread. You can also read the full account and see more pictures on my blog. The reason why I choose Regen is because Dr Oh Myungjune is a very well-known facial contouring specialist and I have confident in his technique. I like Dr Lee from Banobagi too but I don't think he's into facial contouring. While the clinic is important - like foreign patients support, translator, safety, anesthetian, the surgeon holds the weight of another 50% or more in the equation.

  13. Hey everyone, I'm back in Singapore and I'm already 1-month post op. I have done zygoma reduction, vline/lower jaw surgery and full face fats grafting with Regen Plastic Surgery. It has been a really interesting journey for me and I want to share my experience with you. The reason why I'm only giving an update now, is because I've waited for major swelling to subside so I can show you some B&A pictures! Feel free to ask me any questions, about the surgeries or Regen, and I'll try my best to answer. So here goes!

    Consultation Day
: I chose Regen because it's an established plastic surgery clinic with a dedicated safety first system. I had a series of blood tests, EKG, CT-scans, X-rays, and even a personal anesthetist. The consultants at Regen helped arranged my complimentary airport pickup/dropoff and even did the hotel booking - Designers Hotel LYJ Gangnam Premier, for me. Dr Oh Myungjune was behind the face of QiuQui and Rachel Tan. He was in the popular reality TV show “Let Me In”, featured in interviews with CBS and SBS, and also represented Regen as a keynote speaker on facial contouring in conferences. During consultation, Dr Oh spoke excellent English so there was no need for a translator. He was professional, straight forward, and knew exactly what he was talking about. We decided on zgyoma reduction to reduce my protruding cheekbones, Vline for more defined jawline and full face fats transfer for a more youthful appearance. His technique would minimise any risk of sagging. Screws were used to secure my bones in position, and I could choose to remove them a year later.

Overall, I’m happy with the improvements. I want to say thank you Regen, my consultant Lee Jieun and the nurses, and especially Dr Oh, for taking such good care of me when I'm there. The changes are subtle and natural, which is what I want. My facial contour from the cheekbone, along the jawline, to the chin is much smoother now. The fats transfer has filled up the hollows below my brows, cheeks, and nasolabial folds very nicely. All these pictures are taken with a straight angle and no edits at all. The recovery will take another 6 months, so I'm still early in the stages at just 1 month post-op. If you want to read the full account and see more pics, please go to my blog which's my signature.

  14. It's wonderful that your mom's recovering well @amandalpaca. Facelift is quite a major surgery so time is really needed to heal, for the bruises to go away, and swelling to subside. Dr Lee is a great doctor, if not perfect. Give it at least 3-6 months to heal, and your mom can always go back to the clinic for checkup if needed.

I had rhinoplasty with Dr Lee at Banobagi in Dec 2015. Five months into recovery, I noticed the sides of the ear cartilage used to shape my nose tip showing under my skin. It basically looked like I had a ball at the tip of my nose. It's a very common problem with people with thin skin, like me, and it can be corrected very easily.

I raised this up to DocfinderKorea and Shin helped me to book an appointment with Dr Lee in Sept this year. Both DocfinderKorea and Banobagi were responsive and they didn't just ignore me or cover-up the problem. When I was there, all the consultants were super friendly, the atmosphere at the clinic was just great. I was super impressed that Chloe could still remember my name even though a year had passed. Even though Shin was not there with me personally, Kwan, my co-ordinator, was with me. She's from Hong Kong, and we really hit it off! She helped me make my follow-up appointments, accompanied me to/from the hotel and clinic, and also to the pharmacy for my medicine.

Dr Lee diagnosed the problem spot-on and did the corrections for me FREE. I just had to pay for the AlloDerm graft - product placed over the ear cartilage to camouflage the edges and the anesthetic. The procedure was super fast, like only 1/2 hour and another 1/2 recovery time from the anesthetic. My tip is slowly upturned now because of the swelling, so I can only judge the result in another 6-12 months time. But so far so good! I even had FREE de-swelling treatments and a box of pumpkin juice from Banobagi! I really feel the love. Kudos to Dr Lee and all the friendly consultants at Banobagi, and good job to DocfinderKorea.

  15. It's funny to see so many people who had not used DFK commenting as if they had used
I did my nose too with Banobagi and used DKF. Unfortunately my skin is very thin and the cartilage for tip plasty is showing through my skin. Most people didn't notice though unless I tell them. But no harm going back for a checkup right ... Shin helped me to book an appointment with Dr Lee this coming Sept, and even if it's only a checkup, he offers to pick me up from the airport (but I don't need) and send me to the clinic. I think it's really important cause I don't want to clinic to ignore me after they're done.

  16. I don't think she should wait longer. It had been 2 years and I think it's long enough. Best is to go back to DA for a checkup and see what Dr Lee says. Perhaps can also see another doctor for secondary opinion when you're in Korea. Hope everything works well and stay positive.

  17. I think sagging is a very real risk and depends a lot on individuals as much as on the surgeon's skills. I think both Dr Lee Sang Woo and Dr Oh Myung June are good. I just cross my fingers that Dr Oh is on top form when he's doing my surgeries lol. If he tell me that there's a high chance that my face will sag, I don't think I'll go for it.

If you look at DA b&a, you'll notice that many gals are not bad looking to begin with, also, the selfies mostly are top down or angled beauty shots with makeup, colored contacts... I find Regen's b&a more believable. Both clinics photos make use of lighting in their after photos though.

  18. Yes, View is super responsive, the quotation is also slightly cheaper. I did contacted them too. But I think Regen is better known for facial contouring, so I don't mind paying more. If I'm doing other things like fats grafting, I will consider View. I read a forumer here who had good results for fats grafting from View.

  19. My list was Regen, DAPRS, EverM and The Face Dental (TFD).

    1. EverM - a few forumers commented that their vline were too subtle and could hardly tell the difference. The thread is here: # Dr Yoon is a reputable maxillofacial surgeon no doubt, but I think he's more suitable for patients with real problems - bite problems. I may also consider other procedures like fillers, which I don't think they do or not their speciality.

    2. TFD - a recent forumer was not satisfied with her results. The thread is here:
    # Similar to Dr Yoon, Dr Lee is also a good maxillofacial surgeon and ditto the rest of the things I've said above about EverM. TFD is also still new, there's no foreign patients service. There were actually a no. of good reviews before, but much is still left to be seen.

    3. DAPRS - Dr Lee is not a maxillofacial surgeon but he's pretty famous and clinic reputable. They are not nearly as responsive as Regen and this says a lot about aftercare, if something wrong happens to the surgery.

    4. Finally Regen - biggest of the four, very responsive, did a good job for bloggers including QiuQiu, Rachel Tan. Im getting the same surgeon, Dr Oh Myung-June. He represented Regen as a keynote speaker on facial contouring at ASPS and a forumer found out he wrote a book on facial contouring. Thread is here:
    #

So here you go ... The reasons why I choose Regen:

    • big reputable hospital, no need to worry about safety issues, established foreign patients services
    • very responsive (important if anything goes wrong)
    • Dr Oh has really good credentials and accolades, he was a former professor at Seoul University Hospital, and is a resident doctor, advisor and craniofacial specialist at the hospital.
