  1. Hihi! I'm not there yet, I'll be going in September. I will be there for 17 days, just enough time to remove my sitches before I fly back home.

Last year when I want to Korea for Rhinoplasty and didn't have time to remove my stitches, gawd it was so difficult to find a doctor in Singapore who's willing to do so at a reasonable price ... This time round I'll make sure I get them removed in Korea. They are dissolvable but I just don't like leaving them around, higher risk of scarring.

  2. I'm staying at The Designer's Hotel LYJ Gangnam Premier. I think the hotel looks very cool and I prefer a full service hotel to a guest house. Of course, different people have different preference. I know some prefer guest house because it's easier to cook.

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about that. I just wanna thank you for sharing your experiences and I've enjoyed reading your posts. Our human face is not symmetrical to begin with and you've mention that actually it's not really noticeable. Maybe don't scrutinize the results too much. I know it's harder said than done because I tend to do that too, after rhinoplasty and even fillers, I really scrutinize it. I'm going to Regen for facial contouring in Sept ... Quite worried cause I have a broad forward and long face originally.

  4. Flight - Check
    Hotel - Check
    Take Leave - Check
    Airport Pickup - Check
    10% Deposit - Paid

So I'm flying off to Korea 3rd week of Sept for facial contouring - zygoma & vline. Regen is very efficient and quick in replying my emails. In just a couple of days, everything is confirmed. They even helped me book my hotel and will arrange transport to/from the airport. No frustration at all, hopefully a good start to a successful surger! Pretty psyched and very ... very ... scared!

  5. Booked an appointment in Sept with Dr Lee to fix my tip, the edges of the cartilage is showing through my skin. Previously, I think Dr Lee just place the cartilage on top of my nose without trimmng the sides. Should I also make my nose less broad and also get alar reduction to reduce the width? Or I should just fix the problem and that's it? What'd y'all think? Let me hear your opinions.

  6. Most likely you'll get Dr Lee. He did qiuqiu's eyes. After 5 months post rhino with the swelling subsiding, I can see a little of my cartilage through my thin skin at the nose tip. He agreed to see me in Oct when I go to Korea again. I read it's a common problem with thin skin and easily resolved. Other than that, don't really have any complaint. I think he's quite an experienced surgeon.

  7. Then good, go to those clinics then if that's for you and everyone here.

  8. Clinics are inflating prices for foreigners no doubt. Either we suck it up and still go to Korea for PS or don't. It's binary, complain so much also no use.

  9. I actually don't because the quotation I got from Banobagi directly and through DocfinderKorea is the same. I was skeptical like you, so I email Banobagi before I go to DFK. Don't simply assume because you don't know what's their business model.

  10. They are medical travel agency. They should have some form of collaboration and arrangement with the clinics, maybe a finders', partnership fee or something? I'm not really sure on this but just happy that I don't get charged.

  11. Some people have said that thread lift doesn't really work and if you go on realself.com, many doctors have called bluff and won't do thread lifts on their patients. I've tried once and yeah, didn't work at all. Maybe the doctor was just bad but I generally don't believe in thread lift anymore. Yes facelift can help, but there's no gaurantee that it can correct 100%. I don't think it's a good idea to use one major surgery to correct another major surgery.

  12. DA used to be at the op of my list but I think the clinic is overrated? I'm now considering Regen and The Face Dental. The latter seems to be the fad now like how DA was. I'm a little wary and thinking if I should just go with something bigger like Regen.

  13. Other than TLPS, what are the other choices?

  14. Hey hey! Sept to Nov is good and not as busy as Dec. The weather is cooling like air conditioning. I plan to go in Oct or Nov for facial contouring myself. I don't have good feelings about TL because a few forumers have complained about unsatisfactory results and bad aftercare. Like you, Regen is currently at the top of my list. I'm also thinking of The Face Dental. As for leave, 2 weeks are sufficient to remove the inner stitches in your mouth. I intend to stay about 16 days - a little buffer. If your bite is misaligned or you want to shorten you mid face, you'll probably need 2-jaw. If it's just shaping the jawline and chin, then V-line should be sufficient. I think there's no need to take drastic measures if not needed.

  15. The prices that DF quoted was about right. You will get almost the same if not the same quotes going to the clinics direct. I knew because I've been there done last December. DF doesn't charge anything to the patient, yet takes care of all the logistics for you. They had been extremely useful for me since I didn't have to worry about traveling to-fro the clinic, airport pickup, appointments, changing doc., etc. DF also helped with bargaining, grocery shopping. It helps to have someone on your side, so to me, it's a clear cut case of why not.

  16. The lady is very friendly too! She's an ex staff of Banobagi. She accompanied me to remove my rhinoplasty cast. We had a great conversation and talked about everything under the sun from beauty, to the Han river and boyfriends lol! I like my results so far. I did tiplasty too so there's still some remnants of swelling at the nose tip. I did fillers on my nose before and I think the way to go is really rhinoplasty. Fillers last maybe 2-3 years but rhinoplasty is for life. Just gotta be patient to get the tip to take its final shape in about 1 to 1 and a half years time. Can't say much about acculift but I will consider if I have some sagging after facial contouring. Yep! Planning for zgyoma reduction and V-line in Sept. Haven't decide on the clinic yet though.

  17. I tend to agree. Shin was amazing and so was Dr Lee. I didn't have to worry about transportation and appointments because Shin took care of everything for me. He was there during consultation, bargaining, and follow-up visits. He even helped paid for my medicine. It's also true that DFK didn't charge us anything because the quote from the clinic and DFK was the same. I know this because I asked the clinic direct before choosing DFK. Shin can recommend the clinics but ultimately, it's really up to us to choose the one we want. I went with Banobagi because the clinic is reputable. I was actually quite impressed by Dr Lee because he could tell I had nose filler just by touching my nose and was able to draw out my original nose. Mind you, my fillers was done more than 2-3 years ago, even I thought the fillers were gone.

  18. You believe? Have you seen her before pics? You are entitled to you own opinions though, as much as I or anyone here. Lin Zhi Lin also denied having breast augmentation until she fell from her horse. Yadah Yadah Yadah. About them getting plastics surgeries or not I don't care but the main point I'm making is people are taking plastic surgeries too lightly and getting operations too young (less than 20 years old). All I'm saying is, go ahead and get things done but not too excessively, not mindlessly, not like a regular visit to a dentist. The risks of failed procedures are very real but we don't think about them until things get botched. Then, it's too late, it's going to take money, take time, take toil on your mental health, and you probably can't get your face back, not totally.

  19. No offense, but I'm not in favour of getting too many plastic surgeries done. I think no matter how natural, once a person has too many , the face has a "operated upon" look. One example is SG blogger QiuQiu. I think she looks better when she's at her 2nd/3rd surgery compared to her 5th surgery. Some friends commented that no matter how pretty angelababy looks, her face doesn't look "human" now. I'm also a beauty junkie but in all ways possible, I want to minimize the no. of surgeries I'm gonna get. Please ladies, don't let plastic surgery defines you. Just my 2 cents worth.
