  1. OMG! I checked the Mvpps.com website and all mention of Dr Seo is gone! He worked long hours Monday to Saturday. I hope he is okay. I saw him in January. I thought he looked good, younger than last I saw him. They showed me his operating theatre schedule and he was completely booked solid every day! To think that was my last facial fat graft top up with him. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do facial fat graft. Now I have no excuse to visit Korea?. Well unless someone tracks him down and finds out where he has gone to. He has a young son and his wife is a dermatologist so maybe he wanted to spend more time with his young family?

Your eyelids are beautiful @itsEmEm in your avatar photo. I hope we are not the last of Seo’s angel eyes!

  2. Beautiful natural results @itsEmEm! You got a really good price for incision DES + ptosis correction! Usually it is 2.5 million won just for DES! Ptosis correction means the crease will last forever as the muscle is addressed as well as the skin. Dr Seo understands more than he lets on.. I love my revision des and am 4 years out! We are Dr Seo’s angels! I noticed you wear eyeglasses. You may wish to consider wavefront lasik next! Plastic surgery can be addictive!

  3. Really sorry to read this @shubertsamson. Many young people cannot afford US prices ($20k+) and travel to Korea but in Korea they charge less for rhino because they often use silicone implants. In the US and U.K. they harvest rib cartilage which is strong and long lasting with overnight hospital stays for general anaesthesia. The U.K. is cheaper (£10k) than the U.S, but costs about the same as Korea for rib rhinoplasty ($12k) so if you do go to Korea for rhino, find a rhinoplasty surgeon experienced in ear or rib cartilage rhinoplasty. Silicone is a quick fix but it is a synthetic implant which can get dislodged, move or get infected. That said I have seen beautiful results for silicone rhino with my surgeon Dr Seo at MVP for around 3 million won or $3k. If dissolvable sutures were used inside the nose, by 9 months they may have dissolved which may cause the nose to go back to the original pre op shape. I think instead of asking for a free revision, save your money and find an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who can fix with ear or rib cartilage. If they suggest donor rib cartilage, run a mile as donor rib has a high rate of reabsorption. In the US and U.K. they only use autologous cartilage. Too many young people are lured by social media and the b+a noses yet they do not follow up these people for years to see how stable the nose remains or not. A good rhinoplasty should last at least 15 years so is worth paying more for a better and long lasting result. Silicone nose implants like silicone breast implants last on average 3-10 years. In the US, I would recommend Dr Nassif. In the U.K. I would recommend my rhino surgeon Dr Ion. I paid £7k for rib rhino but that was 4 years ago and got a multiple op discount as had it with chin shaving. I think he is £10-12k now. In Korea I would recommend Dr Jin for rib rhino revision in men as he gives a very straight masculine nose. He charges $10-12k cash. Thank you for sharing your experience and including photos. You are both brave and generous as it will help others researching rhinoplasty.

  4. Really sorry for your trauma. You are suffering so much. Please do use this forum to vent your feelings and thank you for sharing and warning others. It is so easy to be swept up in Korean plastic surgery and the lure of instagram makeover photos yet when things go wrong...Look up Dr Eric Payne in USA for reconstruction?

  5. Send your photos to the kakao account of popular clinics like View, Namu, The Face dental, EU dental, Girin, and see what the majority suggest.

  6. Hi @Gats, as far as I am aware there is no such thing as pre-surgery testing for possible allergic reactions to anaesthetic drugs. One takes a past surgical history to ask if one has had general or IV anaesthesia before or any drug allergies but one is never ‘tested’ for allergies to propofol, midazolam or ketamine. Maybe the husband meant she did not get any pre-op tests, like blood tests for anaemia, electrolytes or ECG? As she was only 35 and not getting general anaesthesia maybe that is why she had no pre testing? Or maybe she had already been tested when she had her facelift a week prior?

  7. In my opinion, @Thedepressedmale, you are better looking than your ex behind you. You have a smaller face (many would envy!), beautiful big eyes (I suggest contact lenses or wavefront intralasik) you are hiding behind your spectacles, a natural Korean aegyo sal (baby fat under your eyes), nice chin and already look like a k drama actor (see attached photo). A lot of male korean actors get rhino to have bigger noses! You do not need rhino as your nose is natural! I think your ex is the one who needs plastic surgery and a personality transplant. Please find someone else who can see your inner soul which radiates through in your eyes and warm smile.

  8. Thank you @Gats for sharing this article. Sounds like she was getting lipo fat harvesting for breast fat transfer. Eerily the same anaesthesia I was offered for breast FT at Fresh, iv propofol, ketamine and midazolam administered by the doctor himself and not an anaesthetist and with no anaesthetist. I cancelled my op 10 minutes before going into theatre.

I guess that is why some clinics now advertise in house anaesthetists like Namu having 2 anaesthetists! The article suggests only 1 in 10 plastic surgeons in korea are board certified. It can be a minefield in korea with its 500+ clinics. If it is a large hospital, one risks getting a shadow doctor or a junior doctor gaining experience and if too small, one risks having nurses administer iv sedation or the operating doctor himself with no anaesthetist on site.

  9. They say there were 150 cases of coronavirus in Daegu, Korea over the past 3 days due to a super spreader! Not sure how far away Daegu is from Gangnam. Even though more people die of seasonal flu, flu is predictable in that those who die tend to already be compromised, ie elderly who then develop pneumonia, asthmatics or those with copd, etc. What is worrying about coronavirus is that it has killed young, healthy people! It is very unpredictable. I hear Korean clinics are being very strict about who they see in their clinics and have been turning away Chinese patients or anyone who has arrived from China. This means that the plastic surgery industry is suffering in Korea and clinics may be more flexible with lowering prices? The last time prices dropped drastically was when China banned its people from visiting Korea a few years back in retaliation to the US putting anti missile THAAD in S Korea.

  10. @choialice168 you had an incredible transformation! Dr Lee at Girin is really impressive at facial contouring surgery!

  11. Try Dr Jin of Jin’s premium nose clinic. He fixed Ray’s nose which was similar to your before and now is perfect, straight and he is able to breathe the best he has ever.

  12. I have just had full face fg and threadlift by Dr Seo at MVP on Friday January 17 2020. Go to my thread for b+a photos and review. Six threads (3 on each side) definitely lifted my cheeks to remove my nasolabial folds from fatty cheeks and droopy skin, my lower face marionette lines and gave me an instant sharp v line and high cheekbones! I was complimented as looking like a model but due to my autoimmune condition (I react to silicone, gortex, sutures, elastoplast, synthetic fibres etc) I began to panic and got too worried of a reaction to the pdo threads in the 6-12 months it takes to dissolve, so Dr Seo kindly listened and removed them for me too. At least I know what I would look like with threads or a future smas FL. It seems threads are popular for weddings!

  13. Congrats @ray_ram on an excellent rib revision rhino outcome! I saw your nose in a cast f2f in Korea and could tell right away how straight he made it! Your after cast photo has made you more handsome! Well done on your first trip to Korea and a successful one at that. I can recommend Dr Jin's premium nose clinic for revision rib rhino based on your outstanding outcome! Plus he was a Prof of ENT for years at Seoul National, published in the US peer reviewed journal JAMA, wrote books and performed 10,000 nose procedures so septorhinoplasty is definitely up his alley.

  14. Hi @frooom,

I would suggest take off Wonjin and add Dr Jin’s premium nose clinic, Dr Gwangmin Park at BaumPS and Dr HanJo Kim at Eightps.com.

  15. Hi @amaryIIo,

Teuim is on my blacklist for botching an 18 yo Chinese girl in 2016 and leaving her with ptosis of one eye. Dr Kwon pushes epi and my Singapore friend ended up with a huge epi dressing and swollen sausage lids for months after. I would suggest you look elsewhere.

As for lid fat graft it depends on the surgeon’s expertise. I have had lid fat graft with top up and it is permanent. To prevent creases from dropping ask for ptosis muscle correction at the same time as skin only incisional des often drops over time. My creases have stayed the same 4 years on now. I have a history of multiple upper lid blepharoplasties so get where you are coming from and one I had dropped after a week! I should have complained to the U.K. surgeon but was too timid back then.

  16. Hi @Madambutterfly89 you will be pleased to hear I have cancelled my zygoma surgery with Regen as I realised I have a metal allergy to nickel which means a high probability of an allergic contact dermatitis reaction to titanium. After spending last year getting rid of textured silicone implants and all its complications, I do not want to risk another full blown immune response. I did reflect a great deal on your post about girls with dysphoria and am grateful to an open kakao group who also reviewed my photos and did not think I needed zygoma surgery.

  17. Hi @elegrace try Polaris for £17.50/night single or less if you share a room. Full of young girls having ps I hear. You can book on agoda, hotels.com, etc. or try an all girls hostel like K girl guesthouse (female only) in gangnam.

  18. Hi @J Cn my op is scheduled for January 16 with Dr Oh. I see him again on the 15th. I last saw him Feb 27, 2018 when he spent a long time giving me a mini lecture on his zygoma technique and why it prevents sagging. He explained that dissecting the tissue off the zygoma is what causes sagging and he minimises this by keeping the tissue on the zygoma and cutting the maxilla and pushing the bone inward and reattaching. He said it would build up the mid face so I would not need nasolabial fold fillers as my maxilla would be moved medially. Of course I am at high risk in my 50s which is why I have insisted with Regen that only Dr Oh operate on me and have paid what he wants. I have spent the past week reviewing every YouTube clip on regen past patients, real self, instagram accounts, anything and everything on Tpf on Regen and other competing clinics. Some I note get FG at the same time as FC but as I have enough FG and plan to be on a +++ liquid diet, I hope this expands my face. I shall wear my compression head bandage 24/7 to prevent sagging, ie keep my skin and tissues tightly adherent to the bone to allow for better adhesion if it has been dissected off the bone. This is a major undertaking for me but as I have found a Belgian surgeon for smas facelift as a last resort at a most reasonable price, I can take a small risk. My golden ratio says my face width should be no more than 13.5 cms as my head length is 22 cms. Fingers crossed my face width is reduced.

  19. Hi @lizluv90 you are my inspiration to go with Dr Oh for zygoma reduction next month! I have been putting it off but now have bought my plane ticket and paid my deposit. I hope he gives me 0 sagging too.

  20. Hi @Lorena2,

Look at Eu dental, the face dental, girin, regen and view for facial contouring.
