  1. Was she able to get rid of it like by injection of steroid?

  2. I did not mean to suggest the credit card company will always rule in your favor but unlike cash you would at least have another party, one based in your own country, hearing your dispute.

Can you specify the arbitration agencies that you are referring to? I've spoken with another forum member going through this and an agency which I referenced before, the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency
(https://www.k-medi.or.kr/eng/lay1/S239T385C386/contents.do), hasn't responded to her emails and perhaps more troubling they have some difficult requirements for foreigners to meet before they can submit a claim. You need a Korean bank account and any supporting documents you submit must be translated in Korean, I'm even even sure the former is possible for a foreigner not living in Korea? While they do have Chinese and English sections on their site, these things make me think they are meant for locals.

  3. I can't understand Korean and he sort of hides who the clinic is in the video (this could indicate it's not a sponsored video from the clinic), hopefully someone here can translate what exactly he did and where. BTW given he's a youtuber, if you subscribe to his channel you'll be able to tell how long these results will last.

  4. You definitely have to take getting proper sleep very seriously, disrupted sleep over time will increase your risk of many diseases including Alzheimers which makes sense as the protein that causes it is normally removed during sleep. Do whatever you can to get this fixed as your health should takes precedence over looks. I hope medical insurance will cover some of this since your sleep is affected, also Regen should compensate you for the damage they've done. Given they are not responding to you, have you looked into filing for mediation? I'm not sure how effective this service is but it's a public government sanctioned organization meant for cases like yours: https://www.k-medi.or.kr/eng/index.do

  5. Interesting I didn't know rhinos could look the best right after surgery for some people as usually I see people complaining the opposite where it looks bigger than they want due to swelling. What type of implant was used or was it your own cartilage and it got reabsorbed? I'm curious the medical reason for the change in appearance.

Regarding the amount of hairline lowering and depending on clinics to tell you what you "need", I advise everyone to know their own face and what they want going in beforehand as there's just too many clinics out there looking to increase their profits by telling you to have additional work done you don't actually need. The other issue is the SK aesthetic isn't the same as every other country so while they could believe it would be improvement in their mind it might not be seen as such in your country. Like the SK standard for guys too is smaller jawlines where as in US it's the opposite and they do way more procedures to add volume to the jawline, the before and afters are exact opposites of what each country is after. I agree it's hard to know how changing one thing will affect your overall looks, getting photoshops done to see how changes look on you would help a lot with this.

Injection is only a temporary fix and it's probably not worth it just to fly all the way there just for that, if you get revision I would ask them the reason the first surgery changed so much and if that could happen again if you get a revision. Good luck!

  6. @MissOrange, the article mentions they should have put her through "pre-surgery testing for possible allergic reactions to anaesthetic drugs." Do you know if this is something that is commonly done beforehand for surgeries involving anesthesia? I'm curious if other countries require such testing or if it's an optional thing that's left up to the doctor. I would be willing to get such tests done separately if they don't do it and pay for it myself as this is not something I'd want to be left to discover while I'm on the operating room table.

  7. https://sg.news.yahoo.com/husband-sue-south-korean-plastic-140950149.html

The clinic was Ollim Plastic Surgery according to the article but I can't find references to this clinic? Doctor's name is Kim Sung-il and he is pictured in the article.

According to the article no anaesthetists were present. SMH. Her family is loaded so they will not succumb to pressure tactics we usually see from clinics against victims that speak out.

Hopefully this lawsuit will lead to new rules that protect the safety of all patients in the future.

  8. Just curious what type of laser treatment did you have on the scar? Was it a raised scar and the laser flattened it?

  9. Thanks, do you plan on doing fg again and if so where?

  10. How were the before/after pics? It's rare for me to find examples of cheek implants from Korea as cheek bone reduction is far more commonly performed. I think the US and Korea are reversed with how often they do cheekbone and jaw reduction versus enhancement.

Regarding skin stretching from filler/fg, I actually listened to a podcast recently where a plastic surgeon addressed this, the topic starts around 37min mark: https://www.spreaker.com/user/9019472/ep-157-the-park-avenue-face

  11. I agree on waiting to see the final result. Just looking at the pics though without knowing anything, I would say your after nose is an improvement because it's symmetrical now. As for the ethnic issue, noses in the same ethnicity can come in all shapes and sizes, I also can't say I would call your current nose a typical caucasian nose for what it's worth.

While I understand your frustration the doctor didn't give you exactly what you wanted, one I thing you might be struggling with now which is fueling your anxiety is the change in appearance itself. I've read of quite a few cases where the person got the look they wanted but initially mentally struggled with the new person in the mirror and regretted the surgery as it "wasn't them." So you have a double whammy of not getting what you wanted and the new person in the mirror. Hopefully time can heal that.

I think a valuable lesson here is for rhino you need target morphs to show the doctor the look you are after and get verification that is the look he can achieve and will execute. If there is any disagreement, new morphs should be made and agreed to that is the new target they are after. This is especially important given the language barrier.

  12. I agree, do not give into them. BTW do not make any statements at all on the phone, by mail, or email if they contact you as they'll use it against you, say nothing. Korean clinics have free reign in Korea as they are protected by law there against botched patients speaking out and naming clinics since the Korean government protects the multi-billion dollar plastic surgery industry, their legal reach does not extend past their borders though. The letter is just to scare you, they won't actually bring it to UK court as their abhorrent behavior will be brought to light.

  13. Was the eyebag fat that came back related to overall body weight gain during that time?

  14. This was the closest I've found, it didn't involve stem cells though, just PRP and PRF (platelet rich fibrin) which I haven't heard of before. Note it was done on rabbits:

  15. Thanks for the long term update on your fg as that's the true test of fg results.

Were you charged separately for the forehead botox? IMO if you're having forehead fg, the clinic themselves should recommend and include botox as part of the fg treatment since reducing movement in the area would help with fat survival.

If it worked on your jaw but not your forehead, that's really odd. Have you had it done to your forehead before? Maybe they didn't use enough units. For me, 10 units is not enough to freeze movement to my 11's.

  16. I've heard of that laser, I've seen it recommended by Dr. David Lim on youtube for pigmentation issues with Asian skin specifically.

  17. I'm curious if Korea has devised their own implants that would account for the differences in anatomy.

  18. Regarding flatter asian faces, most of the talk has been about the jawline, I'm fine with my jaw it's the area below my eyes to above mouth that I'd like to improve as it's rather flat. I don't want it to be wider (lateral projection) but want more frontal projection. Do you know of any good methods to add more definition to this midface area? I know fat graft can add general volume here but not definition. I'm not a fan of implants due to potential for infection, your face changing over time and the implant moving, bone wearing down, etc. scare me. I guess that leaves filler but I rarely see good examples of this.
