  1. This is one the best write ups I've ever read from someone documenting their entire ps journey. After getting botched in Thailand, some people might have let such an experience destroy the rest of their life, but you grew wise beyond your years from that. I love that you warn people who expect surgery will fix their lives, healing has to start from the inside first or else those demons will come back sooner or later. You also knew exactly what you wanted and was right for your face, I think people need to go into consultations confident as you were or else they may get talked into additional procedures they don't need or even worse that change but don't improve their looks.

I'd never have considered a side trip to Japan the second week of recovery after all that work, pretty awesome you made the most of your time while recovering. Thanks so much for sharing all this wisdom with us!

  2. Thanks for the review.I always hear about 365mc for lipo but it's rare to see actual reviews about them. Sorry to hear about your experience. Did 365mc give you compression garment to wear? I think that is required to wear after surgery so I am surprised to see you not wearing it?

BTW I would suggest moving this review to your original review as someone reading your first post may think you have positive recommendation of them: #

  3. Hi ReneRene, I thought paranasal implant would negate the need to get filler or fat graft to that area. Did you get filler to paranasal area because volume from the implant isn't enough anymore to prevent the smile lines? If that's the case, do you need a bigger implant now?

  4. You didn't see her before nose though. She could have had a nice nose already, just a hump that needed shaving down. This is why it's hard to judge solely from seeing people in the lobby as maybe they already had an 8 nose that surgery took to a 10? Surgery that takes a 2 nose to a 7 would be more impressive.

  5. Giving the crookedness, it's surprising to hear it wasn't noticeable until months 2-3. For example, this guy's nose was noticeably crooked by day 8: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmTifgxFZqE

I know cartilage can change shape over time, do you think that might have happened? I would send them an email, I'm sure they will offer to fix for free however whether you want to them touch your nose again is the question.

I have to agree with the other person, I think your eyes look fine, I wouldn't touch them. I would focus on fixing the nose asymmetry, once that's centered you'll be better able to judge the balance of your face.

  6. Sorry you have to go through this. What clinic was this? Unfortunately clinics recommending more work than what you initially came in for is common way for them to squeeze more money out of you, I think far too many young inexperienced people fall victim into going with their recs as they think the clinic has the patient's best interests in mind when they don't, rather the clinic is thinking about meeting their revenue goals for that month. It's best to think it over for a few days before committing to more procedures and to talk to more than one clinic, as once you change your face, you can't go back to exactly how it was before.

  7. Loss of volume in the nasolabial area is a common problem with aging, I'm surprised we don't hear more about paranasal implants. Is that a rather new area for implants or have they been around awhile? Filler seems to be used most often for that area (and for the cheek as well as that helps lift your nasolabial folds a bit), but I don't like how filler has to be done every few months as that will definitely add up.

I'm curious how the implants would hold up over time as in decades. I don't think the implant is secured onto anything? Given all the movement in that area, I wonder if it could move over time or if the implant is noticeable when making certain facial expressions. Also, I think another potential issue with these and cheek implants too is continued loss of volume in the midface as we'll get as we age would alter the appearance of these implants. Like would Bon Qiu Qiu's implants look like lumps if she lost the surrounding fat? If those things aren't real issues with the implants, it sounds like they should be a good long term solution for that area given fat grafts don't last there.

  8. BTW I've heard of filler between the bone and tissue creating such a hollow cavity after it dissolves, thus it could cause sagging. Not sure how true this is though.

  9. Have you found a better place for it in Korea? These places are chains so I can imagine your experience could vary a lot based on the skill of the injector you get.

  10. I don't get the point of this thread either. It's devolved into personal attacks against MissOrange. Ashly117 seems to be upset a member continues to post about their good and bad experiences with plastic surgery, apparently if you have plastic surgery you're only allowed to talk about for a limited time? Or you need to do a survey of all 9000 plastic surgeries a surgeon has performed before you can recommend or not recommend a doctor on this forum? By her own logic her single experience with plastic surgery is not sufficient to warm everyone off from doing plastic surgery in Korea.

  11. For the money issue, any time you travel internationally you need to notify the banks about it ahead of time. Otherwise the international charges could trigger them to freeze your card for fraud prevention.

As for their fake results, yes their advertising can be very misleading. The before pics look like they just got out of bed, whereas they are all glammed up and photoshopped in the after, it's shameless.

  12. Just saw this article today, it's from 2009 so maybe more advancements have been made?

Brad had an experimental eight-hour operation in May at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where doctors implanted cadaver bone into his face. They then injected Brad's own stem cells into the donor bone.

From a medical standpoint, the results were miraculous.

  13. To be fair it's the same way in the USA as medical doctors can perform plastic surgery as well, I know of a prominent dermatologist who does lipo for example. So Korea isn't alone in this regard.

  14. Did your friend recommend any particular branch? They have quite a few. Are you going to specify you want pico for the sunspots or you'll let them decide? Also, any ideas how much they charge? In the US some docs charge per spot so it can get very expensive.

I read about a girl here who got too much fat injected by Dr Hong at Fresh into her upper cheeks to the point she needs lipo now, so be very clear with them on how much you want injected and where. Good luck on your trip next week!

  15. Body lipo in general is pretty expensive in Korea unlike getting other procedures done there which are much cheaper than USA prices, I would consider getting quotes from US plastic surgeons as well to see how it compares. It may turn out to be close especially considering you won't need to pay for airfare and accommodations.

  16. Hmm why do you say they are not good at sunspots? I thought sunspots would be easier to treat than moles since it's just pigment at the top layer of skin whereas a mole can be deeper and have a root?

  17. How much do they charge for mole removal? Is it priced per mole? I have a couple sunspots I'd like removed. Thanks.

  18. Yep you were overcharged. To give you some idea, people have gotten DES for less than what you paid for a skin treatment. I think with foreigners some clinics give a way overpriced quote which they would come down from if you negotiated but due to cultural differences where it's unheard of for some to bargain for medical services, some foreigners don't know this nor do they know the going rate for that treatment and just pay the overpriced quote, trusting the clinic isn't ripping them off. So what clinic was this?

  19. For GNG to totally stop performing an in demand surgery like FC, it's rather serious I think. Factories like making lots of money and they lose money by not offering this procedure. I doubt they'll tell you he left why unless you know an insider there. Just as people change the companies they work for, doctors can come and go at clinics, so for GNG not have a replacement FC doctor ready to replace him I'm guessing it was an abrupt decision. Suspicious indeed, perhaps you weren't the only person who got botched.

  20. Please thank your friend for sharing his experience as he's saving other people from getting butchered at that clinic. Tell him not to lose hope as the problem is fixable. He should not beat himself up as that accomplishes nothing, rather do pro-active things like researching where to go to get it fixed, warning other people away from ykps, and seeking financial restitution from them for botching the surgery.

  21. That's one tip I've read about choosing a plastic surgeon. Every doc has a certain style they are known for when it comes to noses, v-line, etc., that's what you should expect they'll aim for. You can ask for anything but if you've read enough reviews of Korean docs you'll see they may apply a cookie cutter approach to everyone. Do not choose a doctor unless you've seen multiple example of patients with similar conditions to yours who've received the outcome you desire. Anyone choosing Dr. Choi at GNG should be prepared to kiss their jaw angles goodbye.
