  1. I would be careful of trusting the word of the doctors who are selling you the procedure given there's a bias there. Check realself for reviews from real people on whether it worked for them and how long the effects lasted. I'm skeptical benefits would last 2 years given how often the skin turns over.

  2. Cartilage implants for rhino has been known to reabsorb over time, however it happening this fast is shocking. Did he say how often this happens with his patients and what's the likelihood of it happening again if a revision is done given how your body reacted the first time? Maybe for some reason your immune system is seeing the diced cartilage as a foreign body and thus removing it.

  3. @jsorchid, I love your writing, makes me feel like I'm there with you! You should start your own blog.

I've not heard asps talked about for full face fg before, maybe try to find some real people who've done fg there before. I think after pics which are taken a few weeks after can be deceptive because the person can look very different 6+ months later with most of that fat being gone.

  4. I thought they were just doing PRP where they basically just spin your blood and inject extract from that procedure, I definitely don't think that's worth 9m krw. But if they are taking out marrow from your bone, wow that's pretty invasive and I can see that costing a lot.

  5. So you contact him to schedule second surgery which you paid for but he did not perform and said you could do anytime later, but he stopped responding so you can't even get that surgery done even if you wanted. Only then did you ask for refund and he still does not respond. Wow, it's even worse than I thought. I would tell clinic you will post your complaint publicly if they do not respond, how they ghosted you is unacceptable.

  6. You paid for services and one of them was not performed, you should definitely receive a refund. It sucks you'd need to come back and go through the whole trauma of surgery, being under GA, and recovery all over again. I would not be happy if this happened to me.

Did he discuss with you he might not perform the second procedure depending on what he observes while doing the first one? What reason did he give for not performing the second surgery that day and instead wanted to have you come back? For example did the first surgery run longer than expected and he didn't want to keep you under GA that long? When were you suppose to come back for the second procedure?

I think you'll need to up the threat level since they are ignoring you, if you can find someone who knows Japanese, I'd email them in Japanese and threaten to take the case to the Japanese medical board and whatever consumer protection agency or better business bureau type places they have there if they keep ignoring you. Another thing, mention you'll post your experience to the review sites they use in Japan (their yelp, realself, etc), thus you'll need to write them in Japanese for them to take that threat seriously. Those things will affect their business so they may finally respond to you.

  7. Wow, you had the works done! I hope your recovery is going well, looking forward to your review! Drink lots of pumpkin juice!

  8. Are you going to apply any anti-scar cream or other ointment and/or silicone sheet for the scars?

BTW thanks again for creating this detailed review of 365mc and for documenting your journey, they are always vaguely recommended for lipo but your posts should really help people decide.

  9. Thanks for the review, I was worried about 365mc after reading catsky84's review but looks like you had no issues. Do you know how many surgeons they have? She mentioned Dr Kang Yun Hee did hers. I know they specialized in lipo but I think the skill is with the doctor him/herself and not the clinic so I'm glad you both mentioned names as I've wondered how often doctors rotate in and out of their clinic.

Can you clarify why you did not take him up on the offer of unlimited bottles for your stomach? Do you mean since you didn't take him up on that offer, you couldn't get a flat stomach?

I'm still a bit confused on mini lipo, I thought over a certain amount of fat taken out you'd need regular lipo but there seems to be no limit on the amount of fat they'd take out for mini lipo based on that offer?

  10. I agree, I'm not an expert in this procedure but how they made the incision itself with straight lines and sharp angles seems wrong as it looks unnatural. They should have created a natural curved hairline with the incision. @krod2017 Did you see any samples of the incisions the doc made in hairlines before? Did he do anything like this?

  11. You shouldn't have to fly to Brazil as medical tattoos for scars, breast reconstruction, etc. is performed in the USA as well. Google "medical tattoo scar" for info and check out the google images results as well for examples. Definitely don't lose hope as it's treatable, good luck!

  12. Unfortunately some doctors in Korea default to what they do normally do, for v-line that's cutting off the entire angle. This member showed the doc multiple examples of what she wanted and what she didn't want and he agreed, yet the doctor still gave her the Korean beauty standard of no angle during surgery: https://beautyhacker.com/forums/topic/988280-gng-hospital-stay-away-at-all-costs/

So please be careful and look for multiple example of their before/after pics where they demonstrate a result you are seeking.

  13. Given the media isn't allowed to mention it's MVP and you just have to rely on word of mouth, I'm not surprised MVP is not coming out with an official statement. They want this forgotten and sadly it will be as other clinic deaths have shown. Internally I can only hope MVP has instituted new procedures, better trained their staff, acquired new equipment, etc. to better and more quickly respond to medical emergencies.

  14. Thank you for making this thread, any person considering cheekbone reductions needs to see this. Sometimes people fall into the trap of thinking there's only one standard of beauty especially given Korean culture, but that's not reality as these people show.

Another thing I'll throw out is cheekbone reduction could look very different on your face 20-30+ years later due to the gradual loss of bone and tissue from aging. @MissOrange just posted the other day a quote from a doctor who indicated lack of cheekbone volume could contribute to forming nasolabial folds: https://beautyhacker.com/threads/how-to-go-from-50-to-looking-20-with-plastic-surgery-rejuvenation.964094/page-81#post-32625407

  15. Someone did mini lipo recently at 365mc, you can read her review here: #

  16. Cool, I didn't know such a drug existed, do they rx this in USA as well for this use? I did a quick search and it looks like it works by inhibiting collagen synthesis, since a hypertrophic scar is basically overhealing of a wound, sounds like this would be the thing to start taking once your wound has healed to a flat level to stop it from forming a raised scar. However if you take it too early into the healing process, it could inhibit the normal healing process so be careful, also collagen is why youthful skin looks better than mature skin so I wouldn't take this stuff too long.

  17. Tragic. Is the clinic going to get temporarily shutdown while they investigate? Their emergency response was grossly negligent. Also you know everyone at that clinic is rattled now because of this, I wouldn't want them operating on me in that mental state.

For Korean ps, what is the usual protocol when it comes to the patient and the anaesthesiologist? Is there usually any interaction at all before surgery or consultation?

This is a reminder to us that our research should not just involve aesthetic results but questioning them on what they do in cases of emergency. It's not enough to say they never had one, rare reactions to anesthesia could happen, the question is what they'll do IF it happens.

This 2014 article mentions the following: In data provided to Rep. Choi Dong-ik of the main opposition Democratic Party (DP), 77 percent out of 1,100 clinics performing cosmetic surgery were not equipped with defibrillators or ventilators, which are mandatory devices for first aid. Only 1.2 percent of such clinics in Gangnam have emergency equipment.

Since there are no clear regulations requiring plastic surgery clinics to have this, some doctors do not make the necessary preparations to deal with emergencies, increasing the risk of fatalities during procedures, doctors said.

Given their response, I'd say MVP was not prepared at all for this. I'll make sure to ask about whether clinics I'm researching have a defibrillator and ventilator in the operating room for emergencies, sounds like most will not though.

  18. Sorry if you mentioned this before but what about the temples as fat loss there is common sign of aging. Did your forehead fg include temples and it has survived after 2 fgs as well?

  19. I've noticed while Korea plastic surgery pricing is much better than my home country for procedures like des, rhino, and fat graft, for lipo it's not as big of discount compared to those procedures and considering you should probably stay at least 7 days after surgery, it may cost about the same or more as you've found. While Korea does produce better results for those better priced procedures I mentioned which makes flying there for them an easy decision, I don't think their lipo results are better than other countries. So if I were you and that's the only procedure you need done, I'd do it at home as imagine if you had to fly back to Korea for complication or if you need revision.

  20. Interested in this as well. Asians typically have flat face which would benefit by adding more forward dimension and definition to it. If cheekbone implants were the answer I think we'd see many before/after pics which demonstrate the improvement, so I think the lack of finding such pics shows there's not a good solution for this now. Fat graft can add general volume but you can't get that defined model cheekbone look from it.

  21. I actually recognize this member from her previous post under a different name here: # If you read through enough of her replies, you can see she has a distorted view of herself and there's a very strong need for validation from these "friends" of hers who seem to like to destroy her already low confidence. I would not recommend anyone here feed into this by telling her she needs to have surgeries as there's deeper mental health issues going on here that surgery cannot fix.
