  1. Great start to your surgery journey. Hugs [This is 라은 btw.] Keep on taking good care of yourself. You're going to be a stunner.
  2. Has anyone done this within the time-frame of 1 month, with the following surgeries: V-line Full Face Fat Graft Dual Canthoplasty My current plan is to either get V-line first with one clinic, recover for 2 weeks, then fat graft and dual canthoplasty with another clinic after those 2 weeks are up, and recover for another 2 weeks before I leave Korea. Is this feasible in your guys' opinion? The reason I would do this is because it will save me in costs, and also, there is a clinic [The Face Dental] that I am quite interested in, but they only do bone surgery [As Dr. Lee told me]. I asked one clinic about this plan [Top Face], and they said that I would need to recover for 2-3 months after the V-line before I could get face fat graft and dual canthoplasty with them safely, but I would like to know from people on here what they think. Thanks so much. Have a nice day.
  3. Hi everyone. Intro: My name is Lan. I am half Asian half white. Just like how I'm neither really Asian nor really white [in my opinion, other mixed people may not feel that way about themselves], I can't decide whether I like or dislike my face. Pretty ambivalent towards it, but leaning more and more towards getting surgery, so much so that I have already booked flights and accommodations for this August [In Korea for all of August, as well as a few days before + after August]. Originally, I was going to stay with a friend, but in light of my very long trip, I feel uncomfortable putting her up for that long. I value her friendship and comfort/convenience [She has a full time job and lives with family too] more than saving some money on accommodations. Little more personal info about myself cause looks aren't all that matter right? I love to make art [drawing and painting, both digitally and traditionally], I play a lot of video games when I have the chance, and I am currently studying computer science in college [takes up so much of my time... but I actually do love this subject, and programming feels quite creative to me]. BUG POKEMON ARE THE BEST. What I don't like about my face: Square-ish jaw Distance between upper lip and bottom of nose is long My dark under eye circles Side profile of my nose What I like about my face: Front view of my nose My eyes Mouth shape [Just not position of my mouth] Chin Skin is naturally good Regardless of what I like about my face, I still want my eyes to be bigger, and I want a sharper chin. This plus a softer and more feminine jawline. Surgery plan: Jaw + Chin V-line [Very vague on the specific kind of jaw and chin work I want done... I just know I want the jaw to be minimized quite aggressively, and my chin made pointier] Dual Canthoplasty [I want bigger eyes, but I already have double eyelids which I like the shape of, so I won't do double eyelid surgery] Full face fat graft [As long as it includes under eyelid fat, which makes your eyes puffier and cuter. I have it only when I smile, but I want it even without smiling] Clinics on my shortlist: The Face Dental [I feel quite good about getting my v-line here. I like Dr. Lee based on our limited interactions so far] - Very cheap price for the v-line compared to other clinics I talked to. Hyundai Aesthetics [Originally wanted to get everything done here, but thinking of just eyes and fat graft now] - Second cheapest for v-line, but still significantly more example than TFD. TOP [Not Top Face, but I became curious about them so I also messaged them today] UVOM I can speak OKAY Korean, so if anyone is in Korea in August and maybe needs a bit of help with some things [Though it's also my first time in Korea, and while I do speak decent enough Korean, it's not good enough to say, translate, or look at official documents, so it would be more like, if you wanted to go shopping with somebody where you don't wanna get lost without somebody who can navigate for the both of us] maybe private message me and I can add you on Kakaotalk. My writeup here seems very clinical, but that's just how I write. I am actually a very warm person. Anyway. Nice to meet everyone.
  4. Hi, I was able to contact Dr Lee at The Face Dental very easily. He seems attentive and on top of things. I have a consultation planned with him, so I can't give any feedback on results yet, but my current tentative plan is [if I feel comfortable] get my v-line with TFD, recover for 2 weeks, then during my last 2 weeks, do my canthoplasty [if they say I am a good candidate for it] and fat graft with another clinic. Based on some of the things I read on the forum, it seems like a lot of people mentioned that if you're going to do facial contouring such as v-line separately from rhinoplasty, that the rhinoplasty should come after, not before. But, that is just based on some things I read, so please don't take that easily as a fact. So I will also potentially be somebody that, like you, could get multiple procedures done with other clinics. It is definitely something people have done before and I think it's worth considering, even though there is also an ease [practical but also mental/emotional] of having it all done in one go with one clinic. Anyway, update with your current thoughts, and know that you aren't alone :] Feel free to private message me too.
  5. Thank you so much for the response. I decided I will continue to contact clinics I am interested in directly and avoid medical tourism agencies altogether. Also thank you for the app suggestion! I am going to download that and try it when I am in Korea. Initially, my friend offered for me to stay with her in Seoul, but she is quite far from Gangnam, and I also feel bad taking up space in her place for an entire month, so I made accommodations in Gangnam. You're probably so right that it is a good idea to stay near the clinics so I am glad I can do that. I haven't been able to join the kakaotalk groupchat yet but hopefully I can be approved before I fly to Korea! Have an amazing day.
  6. I am very interested in lateral canthoplasty. One of the clinics advised me [in an online consultation] that if there is not enough white space [of your eyeball] being covered by your skin, then there is nothing that can be done as far as canthoplasty goes. Do either of you know if this is a common problem, or do most people usually have the ability to get lateral canthoplasty?
  7. Basically, my issue is, I am proficient in Korean so I may not need their help guiding me as much while in Korea. But it is also my first time in Korea so Idk. The other issue is, the prices they quoted for me are outrageous [2million more won per surgery basically] compared to the clinics I spoke with that are not associated with them [hyundai aesthetics, top, uvom], and I don't know if I buy into the hype of big clinics like ID hospital or Banobagi [after a lot of research with both english and also korean searches on korean sites, mostly through naver search], the cheaper clinics I mentioned like hyundai aesthetics seem to have good reputations as well, even with lower cost. Is a medical tourism agency probably not a good fit for me? My gut is telling me no, but I would like an extra opinion if possible. They also reply very slowly... And through email rathed than kakaotalk... Has anybody here done medical tourism without an agency like I think I might want to? I am going to be in Korea for all of August [of this year].
  8. Edit: So I don't really want to delete my post because maybe it is useful to someone [though I doubt it will be]but as of now, basically almost all of the information I posted here is now defunct as I changed my mind heavily about clinics, agencies [not using one] and surgeries [skipping a few]. Currently the plan is dual canthoplasty, full face fat graft, jaw+chin v-line. Not getting anything else. Just thought I'd make this small edit. Did lot of research on my own in English and Korean, and also got help from a lot of Korean friends that tried to find reviews on their own of the clinics I liked. Clinics I am consulting with in person this August: the face dental, hyundai aesthetics, top plastic surgery clinic [티오피성형외과, NOT top face, but I did contact them], and a consultation with namu. Might set a consultation with uvom too. Old post: Hi guys. I am going to Korea this August. I did online consultation with ID hospital and they suggested: Cheekbone reduction surgery and V-line surgery (Mandible angle reduction + Chin genioplasty) Rhinoplasty Dual Canthoplasty I also reached out to Dream and KimHyeonSeok Clinic, sent them my photos, and am waiting for a reply now. Also, with ID hospital I mentioned to them that I want a fat graft for my face, but they didn't mention anything about that in their reply, so I am assuming they don't think I need it? But that is weird because I feel I really need fat graft. Even more than cheekbone reduction surgery (which I never mentioned to them). Same goes for philtrum reduction. I mentioned that to them, but they didn't write anything about it in their recommendation for me. Maybe I am not a good candidate for it, because as you can see in my profile photo, my mouth is already open even in a neutral expression. [Repost of a post I made on purseblog, hope that is okay]
