Current Shortlist of Clinics

Recommended Posts

Hello, I've been researching clinics and doctors and finally decided to make an account recently.  I am waiting for approval into the Kakao Talk groups, but I don't know when that will happen.  Anyway, I plan on getting something done to my eyes and a rhinoplasty in a few years.  I'm still unsure if it's better to use autologous tissue or an implant, but I think I'd consider diced cartilage fascia.  My nose is bulbous and flat, and my eyes have double lids but they're hooded since the upper lid is so fatty.  Plus, I want to get fat put under the eyes because of my dark circles.  I might also consider something to slim my face, but I'm more focused on the eyes and nose.  I try to find clinics and doctors without any botched or shady surgeries.  Here is my list so far:

Nose:

101- recommend doctors

Cocoline- Dr. Kim Taw Hwan

Wannabe- Dr. Cha

Hyundai- Dr. Lee

Mind

JT/Item- Dr. Kim

Naturalism- Dr. Kim Deok Jung

Eyes:

Luho

JT/Item- Dr. Kim

Hyundai- Dr. Min

Wannabe

Naturalism

I'd like to ask for input on these clinics and if these doctors are reliable.  Thanks!

I'm looking to get my nose and eyes done too, and I've looked into some of the same clinics on your list.

101- Dr. Paik — afaik Dr. Paik has retired

Cocoline- Dr. Kim Taw Hwan — this doctor has opened his own clinic called 1st button

Wannabe- Dr. Cha — they seem to be known mostly for undereye fat repositioning but also do natural eyes and noses, but according to several people on tpf they haven't been responding to their English kkt chats

JT/Item- Dr. Kim — straight, natural noses & parallel des creases, apparently he was more known for his eyes than noses when he was at Item (compared to the other doctor)

Naturalism — I'm interested in them too but it seems almost impossible for non-Koreans to book them

Luho — natural results

Thanks for the info! Hopefully, others can recommend more clinics and doctors they had good experiences with.  It's so hard trying to find clinics and doctors because I see some reviews I feel confident about, then immediately find someone got botched or didn't like their results.

I still have a couple of years before I would go, so I haven't consulted them yet.  However, I thought it's a good idea to go ahead and research so I can be better informed when the time comes.  I hope to fix my eyelids that are uneven.  They're double eyelids but the upper eyelids are either really fatty or have a lot of skin because it drapes over the lower one so it looks like a monolid sometimes.  I feel that they may need ptosis correction and I also want to get a canthoplasty potentially.  For my nose, I want to make the bridge higher and slim it since it's an Asian flat nose.  I was looking into diced fascia cartilage being used in the nose and I found that intriguing so I may choose that.

@xulu that's good to have an early start, and if you are still a few years out, it would be better to continue doing what you are doing now and that is to focus on what you want to achieve and looking into the various pros and cons of different methods. Clinics change a lot and doctors move around to different clinics, so good to keep track of doctors rather than clinics.

Hi @xulu, just like you i have a couple of years to go before i do decide to go to korea! Im interested in doing eyes and nose as well and am looking for a natural look. I have been browsing the gangnam unni app and have been looking for before and afters and have shortlisted a few clinics. However, for some of them i have not seen them being mentioned in this forum which makes me slightly concerned. I am still trying to expand my shortlist and like what @kino has mentioned and you have done, to focus on the doctor not the clinic as they do move around. Would love to know more tips and tricks on avenues you used to learn about these clinics to potentially cover any ground that I have missed out.

Thanks for the list! I also have the same facial concerns as you and want to do my eyes/nose/some non-invasive procedure for face. Is there some way to see results by doctor or search for top rated doctors? Gangnam Unnie has some ratings but don’t know if they are trustable..

Hello! I mostly gathered my list from scouring this forum and PurseForum. I usually read through not only the posts, but the replies people give usually having good advice and recommendations. I even crossed out many when I read the replies since they sometimes detail bad experiences or what they've heard. Hope that helps.
