  2. Hi, are you with the clinic? I am looking into options for getting a neck lift. Curious to see if your clinic offers this and if you have any before and after pictures I can take a look at. I have been on contact with a few clinics and was ready to book and appointment with one but my trip had to be delayed a bit so I have more time to look around at other clinics.
  3. I have actually used a few things they tend to recommend in Korea. This is what got me looking into surgery over there. So the first product is simple and cheap, a jade roller! You can look into the benefits of it. You can buy them on Amazon. The second product is Rejuran Healer Turnover Ampoule. It contains polynucleotides that come from salmon and it helps the skin regenerate faster as well as encourages collagen production.
  4. Okay so it is normal. I just wasn't sure as I am use to working local and have never gone in for work where I had to pay anything ahead of time. I pay the day of which is why I was confused. Thanks everyone for the clarification.

  8. Is English the most common second language? It must be, right? I'd imagine this is down to the massive boom America had in the 50s and 60s, everyone wanted to do business with America so English became a standard for international businesses.
  9. This is something I think is worth stressing. Some people recover really fast, some people take much longer. No two bodies handle surgery the same. I have seen some women take a very long time recovering for very simple operations.
  10. Oh this sucks! I was hoping there was a way to find out. I know there are rumors and that all over social media but no concrete evidence or proof. I mean I get it, these pop stars want to keep this stuff private.
  11. I have read and heard tons of positive things online about Korean beauty care. Skin creams, oils, serums, etc. that help skin be more radiant and healthy. I am curious if there are any sort of beauty products that work in conjunction with getting plastic surgery. Has anyone come across something like this?
  12. Last week
  13. Can I ask what clinic you went to? You can DM me if you'd like. I am just a bit hesitant with some of them as I have read good things and really bad things for this type of surgery!
  14. It depends on your age and how much work is needed. Sometimes, you can only do some improvement but not a complete fix. A doctor that is well experienced would be able to give you the best idea of what your options are.
  15. I got botox done and I loved the results. It is best when you find someone that actually works with your bone structure and doesn't just jab you with it all willy nilly. I got some injections in Korea and absolutely was floored. I looked 5 years younger after just 4 or 5 days. It lasted about 4 months for me.
  16. Absolutely! Most clinics will give you a price range after doing an online consultation. You'd be surprised how willing and accommodating Korean clinics are for those seeking plastic surgery from other nations.
  17. Basic scalp stem treatments are $500 to $2,500 depending on the clinic. For more advanced treatment, you are looking at up to $6,000 per session but the average tends to be around $3,200. Again, it depends on the clinic. I am not sure how you would go about booking something like this. I think you need to get the treatment done every 3 months so you would have to plan 3 trips for the year.
  18. If you want an apartment style hotel, COEX Hub Stay is a good option. I believe it was $55 a night when I last checked. It may have gone up since then. You get extra room/space and a small functional kitchen and dining space.
  19. Yeah $8k on the low end as I mentioned. I think $10k is a good minimum but also This is a very good tip if you can manage it. It is always good to have backup even if you do not need it.
  20. This doesn't get talked about enough. I think it is important for people to be realistic and patient with their expectations. This is surgery after all! Take your time, shop around, talk to different clinics, and get information from real people that have been to them.
  21. I can't speak from experience but I have read and heard others speak on it being the best place to go for something like this. They seem to be leading the way with standards and results. I am not sure which clinics offer it or not, you would have to research that but you would be in good hands from my understanding.
  22. I have had this happen. For what I wanted done, they were not able to book me when I planned my trip so I had to go back the following year. The good news is that flights tend to be cheap and you can find cheap hotels but for people that have to worry about work and getting time off, it can be annoying!
  23. I have gotten botox and was overall pleased with the results. I think it really comes down to what you are wanting to improve/correct and your expectations. Botox is temporary. It lasts anywhere from 2 to 6 months. Most people once they start they get it 2 or more times a year to maintain their corrections but it will not stop the aging process.
  24. Your budget can be different from someone else's. L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotels gets really good reviews and is considered budget friendly. Four Points by Sheraton is another option offering good pricing and it is near a lot of beauty clinics.
  25. I really want there to be a poll or something of people that have gone to Korea without securing the surgery date by paying the deposit because clinics always use that as a tactic to persuade people into putting down a deposit, but then some people on the forum have said that they end up moving local patients around just to fit the international ones in? Some have also had to do another trip because they couldn't fit them in which is worse case scenario so I'm curious about the actual stats
  26. I went to 1mm for ptosis correction and DES but this was ages ago in 2022, unfortunately they came out a tinsey bit uneven, but the scar is basically invisible and the ptosis correction is good so I probably won't touch them again.
  27. Thank you for the detailed update strawberrytea, really appreciate these! Hope you continue updating us with your journey and wishing you all the best if you end up getting the revision DES!
  28. Wow thank you so much for the 3 year update! I think the eye results are absolutely fantastic! Would you say that the fat grating results have changed at all now that we're 5 years along? I'm looking to get that done along with the undereye fat repositioning but a lot of people are saying that sometimes only some of the grafted fat survives?
  29. That is a good amount of time for a surgery like this. You have time to recovery and then some. If I were you, I would get in touch with some doctors in the area you will be in and explain your issue and see what they offer in terms of solutions. Some doctors will offer different surgery options than others.
