  2. Can I ask what clinic you went to? You can DM me if you'd like. I am just a bit hesitant with some of them as I have read good things and really bad things for this type of surgery!
  3. It depends on your age and how much work is needed. Sometimes, you can only do some improvement but not a complete fix. A doctor that is well experienced would be able to give you the best idea of what your options are.
  4. I got botox done and I loved the results. It is best when you find someone that actually works with your bone structure and doesn't just jab you with it all willy nilly. I got some injections in Korea and absolutely was floored. I looked 5 years younger after just 4 or 5 days. It lasted about 4 months for me.
  5. Absolutely! Most clinics will give you a price range after doing an online consultation. You'd be surprised how willing and accommodating Korean clinics are for those seeking plastic surgery from other nations.

  7. Basic scalp stem treatments are $500 to $2,500 depending on the clinic. For more advanced treatment, you are looking at up to $6,000 per session but the average tends to be around $3,200. Again, it depends on the clinic. I am not sure how you would go about booking something like this. I think you need to get the treatment done every 3 months so you would have to plan 3 trips for the year.
  8. If you want an apartment style hotel, COEX Hub Stay is a good option. I believe it was $55 a night when I last checked. It may have gone up since then. You get extra room/space and a small functional kitchen and dining space.
  9. Yeah $8k on the low end as I mentioned. I think $10k is a good minimum but also This is a very good tip if you can manage it. It is always good to have backup even if you do not need it.
  10. This doesn't get talked about enough. I think it is important for people to be realistic and patient with their expectations. This is surgery after all! Take your time, shop around, talk to different clinics, and get information from real people that have been to them.

  12. I can't speak from experience but I have read and heard others speak on it being the best place to go for something like this. They seem to be leading the way with standards and results. I am not sure which clinics offer it or not, you would have to research that but you would be in good hands from my understanding.
  13. I have had this happen. For what I wanted done, they were not able to book me when I planned my trip so I had to go back the following year. The good news is that flights tend to be cheap and you can find cheap hotels but for people that have to worry about work and getting time off, it can be annoying!
  14. I have gotten botox and was overall pleased with the results. I think it really comes down to what you are wanting to improve/correct and your expectations. Botox is temporary. It lasts anywhere from 2 to 6 months. Most people once they start they get it 2 or more times a year to maintain their corrections but it will not stop the aging process.
  15. Your budget can be different from someone else's. L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotels gets really good reviews and is considered budget friendly. Four Points by Sheraton is another option offering good pricing and it is near a lot of beauty clinics.
  16. I really want there to be a poll or something of people that have gone to Korea without securing the surgery date by paying the deposit because clinics always use that as a tactic to persuade people into putting down a deposit, but then some people on the forum have said that they end up moving local patients around just to fit the international ones in? Some have also had to do another trip because they couldn't fit them in which is worse case scenario so I'm curious about the actual stats
  17. I went to 1mm for ptosis correction and DES but this was ages ago in 2022, unfortunately they came out a tinsey bit uneven, but the scar is basically invisible and the ptosis correction is good so I probably won't touch them again.
  18. Thank you for the detailed update strawberrytea, really appreciate these! Hope you continue updating us with your journey and wishing you all the best if you end up getting the revision DES!
  19. Wow thank you so much for the 3 year update! I think the eye results are absolutely fantastic! Would you say that the fat grating results have changed at all now that we're 5 years along? I'm looking to get that done along with the undereye fat repositioning but a lot of people are saying that sometimes only some of the grafted fat survives?
  20. That is a good amount of time for a surgery like this. You have time to recovery and then some. If I were you, I would get in touch with some doctors in the area you will be in and explain your issue and see what they offer in terms of solutions. Some doctors will offer different surgery options than others.
  21. I tried botox once when I was 29 I believe. I will be honest with you, at that age it did not make much of a difference. I think I looked fine until I make expressions and it came off... odd. I feel like botox is best for 35 or even 40+ in age. It doesn't last very long either and I think overdoing it when you are still young ends up causing more damage and aging long-term.
  22. You'd be surprised by the number of people that know English in South Korea. The only other place I had gone where more people know English than not was the Philippines. It is very common for other nations, especially in areas where a lot of foreigners travel to, to have more people that speak English. It is good for business
  23. I have had a lot of hair loss in the last 10 years. I would say 50% of my hair has thinned out. My part line is wide, my temples are bald, and my overall thickness is sad. I was looking into options that work for women as a lot of docs do not recommend hair transplants for women due to the nature of female pattern balding. I asked someone on another forum and she suggested looking into scalp stem cell treatments. I found a few local clinics that do offer it but it is $15,000 per session and most people seem to need 2 or 3 minimum. I cannot afford that! I was expecting it to be under $10,000 for multiple sessions Is this something I can get done in South Korea for less? I am not sure if they offer stem cell treatments like this or not.
  24. Hey everyone, I’ve been noticing some early fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes lately (probably stress + screen time ), and I’ve started looking into anti-wrinkle treatments. I came across this page while researching: https://gafhealthcare.in/treatments/anti-wrinkle-treatment It explains things quite simply — especially how treatments like Botox work by relaxing facial muscles so the wrinkles soften over time. From what I read, it’s a non-surgical option and results usually start showing within a few days and can last a few months. What I’m trying to understand is: Is it worth starting early (late 20s / early 30s)? Does it look natural or “frozen”? How often do you actually need to maintain it? If anyone here has personal experience (good or bad), I’d really appreciate honest feedback before I take a decision. Thanks in advance
  25. If you are concerned about costs, you can do a breakdown of the average vacation cost for the region and then add on the surgery costs to that. You could also look into getting a credit card to bring with you as a back-up. I have done this when traveling.
  26. For plastic surgery in South Korea - you will need a valid passport, appropriate visa or K-ETA status (if applicable), and a confirmed appointment. As mentioned, most western tourists can enter without a visa for up to 90 days.
  27. What part of your eye is dropping/sagging? You can look into both ptosis repair and upper blepharoplasty. These are usually the two surgeries used for such things. However, you may need a combination of different ones.
  28. Usually in Korea, you will find their prices match the averages you can find online. They are a lot cheaper than other countries and people have easier access to them. That being said, you will need to work with a clinic and doctor to get an exact cost breakdown and estimate. While you can get averages online, not everyone has the same surgical needs.
