I am booked for my surgery for the end of June. I have my hotel and everything. I will be heading to South Korea on the 23rd and my surgery day is the 25th. I gave myself a few days to settle in. I am a bit concerned though that I will be spending most of the time there in a hotel because of swelling. I have heard people say some are worse than others but I also see so many people exploring the city they are in after surgery. Won't I look like a mess? LOL

It really depends. Some people have TONS of swelling but others have hardly anything. You will have bruising but it will be covered by bandages. Someone I work with got her nose done a few years ago and she came to work the following week and she just looked like she got punched. Her face was bruised but hardly any swelling and she felt fine for the most part. No one really thought anything of it.

THIS.

If you look online at other people's experiences, you will find a lot of the same. It really just comes down to how your body handles it. Some recover faster than others. Some bruise more and take longer. I have seen some people post surgery by a few days look like nothing even happened, no redness or bruising, not swelling... Nothing! Then I have seen others that look like someone took a shovel to their face!
