Double Eyelid Surgery, Epi, Lateral - Master Thread

Recommended Posts

Your eyes came out really nice! Wannabep was one of the clinics on my list, but I recently found out that their anesthetists aren't really reliable....hence the low prices they offer. May I ask wow was your experience? Who was your surgeon? I assume you have to go back for the stitch removal, correct?

It went really well I must say. Dr Ryoo is my surgeon.
Yes, stitch need to be removed after 4 days.

During the procedure, I didn't feel any pain at all. I was dreaming, and I really like the anesthesia state/sensation, no wonders many people love to try those drugs

I think getting DES done for the first time is easier and less worrisome than getting revisional DES. From what I have read, it looks like non-incision DES is a lot quicker, simpler to do than incisional however non-incisional may not last and you might have to get it done again within X years.

A little stressed out with trying to narrow down the hospitals. I don't like that it can't be organised properly while overseas and you have to go in to 1) see if you like the doctor and find out their specialities since it's almost never stated clearly on their website
2) ask for a final price that's not crazily blown out of proportion
3) get a good feel for the place.

Sounds like I should just pack my bags and GO! haha

the longevity of the non incisional method depends on the wiring method employed. I think its not so much a case of which will last longer but which is more suitable. One of my friends wanted the non incisional but she has droppy excess skin and lots and lots of fatty tissue. So if she were to insist on non incisional then she would need a brow lift to maximise results which ends up becoming more invasive as opposed to incisional method lol

I was wondering that myself previously, but found out it's a no no. Doc's are generally recommending waiting at least 3 - 6 months in between these two different procedures, b/c both causes dryness of the eyes.

hi i am also keen on a double eyelid surgery. I am also very eager to have bigger eyes after surgery. What i am looking for is a dramatic difference to my eyes... I am considering Cinderella, Opera, Dreams, Girin, Banobagi, I will go do more research on iwell and april31.

the problem is i am not sure which clinic does dramatic eyes. I am not interested in subtle or natural. so Teium, although there are quite a lot of positive reviews, i am not considering them. also, i am looking at a few procedures on top of doing my eyes and i know this might sound crazy but i hope i am able to find 1 clinic that will do all procedures for me in 1 go as i do not think i will have the energy to run here and there for different procedures.

any thoughts or reviews on those clinics that i mentioned? i know those mentioned/considering are popular amongst foreigners but if they are able to give me the face i desired, i am more than willing to pay (of course not at a ott price tag, that would be very silly)

This is the latest picture after almost 2 weeks.

What I have noticed is,

1) The crease on left eye (In the picture is on the right side eye) is slightly higher on the end

2) The crease also a bit shorter compared to the right eye.

Is this normal ?

FYI, I basically asked for lower crease and show a bit of double eyelids. Probably in 2 or 3 months my eyelids will become inner eyelids ? I should had asked for higher crease

I see what you mean however your symmetry is close enough that you wouldn't need revisional DES like others do. Your results actually look good enough and I wouldn't stress so much about it. There is definitely a difference now between no DE and after your DES  be happy because some of us actually have to get a revisional DES coz the results were largely asymmetrical.

Since you just got your surgery done, what you see is not the final product until you wait a few weeks. Your body's healing process will determine that. But like said, be happy the results look good now. Think happy and healing thoughts

I am not sure if this question will come off as weird but... Has anyone had surgery to make eyes smaller as oppose to what usually is requested by most asians here?

My eyes are big, and i have a crease. My sclera (white part of the eye) is more prominent at the lower part of my eye. the shape of the right eye is quite droopy on the lower outer part of the eye which makes it look -droopy and lop sided? Ahahaha sorry for the poor description.

what I want to achieve is a defined eye shape.
And I also want to have that cute smiling eyes when you smile. Not ulzzang (not aegyosal something)! notice when someone is smiling and their eye shape changes like its also smiling.

I guess I should just post a picture
(oh wait, how do i do that? Hahaha)
-please forgive the newbie (me!)

Hi everyone,

It's my first time posting on TPF, but I want to share my experience. I've gotten double eyelid surgery in the U.S. (a Korean doctor who speaks fluent Japanese in Beverley Hills!), which ended in a TOTAL FAILURE. I am not even talking about the crease being too narrow, or too high, or not natural. They did not crease properly and left huge uneven scars on my face. He used thick absorbable sutures on my face, causing massive scarring (ppl will ask me what is wrong with my eyes--> car accidents?). NEVER TRUST A DOC WHO RECOMMENDS ABSORBABLE SUTURES!

Hi girls,

May I know if any of you have heard of a good eye doctor in Regen? I have just emailed Regen for a consultation for my double eyelid surgery and fat graft. The consultant is prompt to reply and very polite (so that's good). But the doctors that she advised me are Dr.Choi Dong il and Dr. Lee Seung Hwan. Anyone has heard of them before? Upon checking the website, I thot they look so young!!! And I'm a bit worried to entrust my surgery to them. So right now, I'm not sure what to do as well. As, there is really very minimum information available on Regen website about each of the surgeons with no mention of their specialisation too. I only know the Chief Director, who operated for Bong Qiu Qiu, the Singapore blogger. Not sure I would like to pay through my nose for the double eyelid surgery and fat graft (Chief Director charges more for surgery). Anyone, please advise, especially if you know the name of any good Surgeons in Regen for eye and fat graft. Thanks!!!

@sssxccc, I also got the same quote in my reply and also feel that it is quite pricy in comparison to other places  I am wondering how I can try to bargain some of the price off in English. I booked a flight to Seoul for late July. So anxious and excited at the same time. I don't know where else I would go for a consultation because right now Teuim is my top and only consideration.
