  1. I think "Luck" does play a part sometimes. Some people got really good results and others got botched with the same plastic surgeon. Of course, doing research diligently will help to reduce the "bad" luck.

  2. This is what i answered in another thread previously. I think the minimum should be 50,000 won because I was shopping at Artbox and I saw a sign that allows tourist to claim VAT if its above 50,000 won.
If you are getting tax refunds at the airport, I would suggest to go early. The reason is, for a single receipt of expenditure of above 75,000 won, you will receive your tax refund money from an automated machine. And for receipts of less than 75,000 won each, you will need to go to a counter (manned by staff) and get your tax refunds. Hence, I went to both the automated machine as well as the counter to receive my tax refunds. But I was lucky that there was no queue. After I left the tax refund area, which is located at level 4 of Incheon Airport Terminal 1, I saw a lot of tourists making their way to get their tax refunds.

  3. I had tax refund at Incheon airport. If I remembered correctly, its about 7% after I calculated. The VAT is 10%. 3% is for administrative purpose, I guess.

  4. I am unsure about lip reduction.
As for eyelids surgery, there are some forumners that commented that their eyelids became hooded after they had their DES at MVP. However, there are also some forumners that praised MVP as well.

  5. @peasantduck, i think its right of you to let others know that Dr Seo did not manage to fix your DES so that others can make an informed decision. It is kind of you to let others know of your hooded eyes as well as others' experiences so that others can reassess their decision in going to Dr Seo for DES.

  6. For hooded eyes, would it help if excess skin is cut away?

  7. I have been reading quite a bit of posts here regarding MVP. It seems MVP does not provide transportation and accommodation services. Not all clinics provide those services though.
Some clinics have suggested unnecessary surgeries to some forumners here before. So, its good to ask the surgeons for their views f2f if you really do need those. If there is a surgeon that doesn't suggest that particular surgery despite of you wanting to go for it, then its good to reconsider again.

  8. You can check Misooda's website on the prices that they quoted for Cinderella Clinic. After which, you can ask Cinderella Clinic for a discount. If they are unwillingly to give you a discount despite knowing Misooda's quote and they are quoting even a higher price than what Misooda is quoting, then you should just use Misooda's service. That's what I did when I did my LAMS with 365MC.

  9. I would still advise eating healthily and exercise regularly.
Studies have shown that after liposuction, if you put on weight/fats, fats will deposit as visceral fats rather than subcutaneous fats (fats under your skin). Visceral fats are fats surrounding your organs. Visceral fats are more detrimental to your health than subcutaneous fats.
So, despite me having mini liposuction, i am still controlling my diet i.e. eating healthily and exercising 3-4 times per week.

  10. I think its better if you are able to list those with "positive results" after the 1-year mark. The reason is due to the swelling of the face, which can take up to 1 year. Most start to experience sagging of the face after 1 year post-op.

  11. I don't trust the before-and-after photos of the plastic surgery centers. Your best bet would be to ask the forumners who had cheek fats liposuction done at least a year ago to check on their progress. I had cheek fats when I was younger. But over the years due to aging, the cheek fats have disappeared. When cheek fats disappeared, you will start to feel that your face skin is also beginning to sag.
Ultimately, its you who will make the decision. I am just being nosey anyways.

  12. Do take your time to research. Please don't give up. Denyagan went through a lot and she managed to overcome it eventually. I am sure that you will be able too.
Some of us have been trying to dissuade others from getting zygoma reduction surgeries and breast implants but to no avail. Haiz.
But i think its very brave and kind of you to share your surgery outcome to make people think twice about zygoma reduction surgery.

  13. Don't be despair.
Denyagan managed to fix her cheekbone problem. I am sure that you can too. Don't give up. Hang in there.
Judging from your ct scans, it seems that this is a typical ct scan after zygoma reduction surgery. I remembered seeing similar scans when forumners posted in this forum after their zygoma reduction.

  14. You can pay either with cash or credit card. Some forumners mentioned that they had higher bargaining power when they pay by cash. However, for some plastic surgery clinics, they would charge you an additional of 10% if you pay via credit card.
Do let the plastic surgery clinics know that you need a VAT (tax) refund. Remember to bring your passport along.

Some plastic surgery clinics provide free accommodation at their designated hostels etc. Some plastic surgery clinics have affliated hotels that give their patients a cheaper rate.
Most would find their own accommodation (e.g. hotels, airbnb) which is close to their plastic surgery clinics as most would need to go back to the clinics for regular followups.
